Apollo II Tile Solar System
The Apollo Tile II solar roofing system packs powerful solar energy production into a sleek, low-profile roofing system. Featuring solar tiles that are engineered to be installed with a new or existing concrete tile roof, Apollo Tile II offers clean energy without the bulky look of rack mounted solar systems.
What you get:
Beauty: Apollo Tile II is designed to match the profile of flat concrete tiles, visually blending into your roof for a look that a standard rack-mounted system cannot match. A black solar laminate with a custom colored frame, it perfectly complements a variety of earth-toned tile colors.
Efficiency: 14 high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells provide a power rating of 63 watts per solar shingle.
Simple to Install: No need to find rafters or flash penetrations in the roofing system. Solar shingles are installed directly into the roof sheathing using standard deck screws. Fastening points are covered by subsequent solar shingles, the same way that asphalt shingles are installed.
Wind Resistant: The Apollo Tile II system can be installed in any wind zone, including Florida's high velocity hurricane zone.
Watertight: Water channels and raised fastener locations provide added protection against water intrusion. With more than 110 years of roofing experience, we know how to keep water out of your home.
Lightweight: No need for structural reinforcements or analysis. At three pounds per square foot, the Apollo Tile II system weighs substantially less than a tile roof.
Durable: Apollo Tile II solar tiles withstand up to 250 pounds per square foot.
Considering that you should expect your solar system to generate electricity 25 years or more, it is important to take the time to understand your warranty options, and how CertainTeed protects your purchase with our comprehensive solar warranty. Here are a few things to consider:
Typical solar systems utilize components from several different manufacturers, so you may have multiple different product warranties and installation workmanship warranties from your solar installer (if they offer one). CertainTeed offers an all-in-one warranty solution.
Most solar equipment manufacturers and installers have not been in business for as long as the warranty that they are offering. Will they be around to take care of any issues? CertainTeed has been in business since 1904 and covers products and workmanship even if the original provider is no longer in business.
Typical solar warranties provide for a replacement product, but do not cover the cost of evaluating the system to determine the cause of the issue, shipping a replacement product, or removing and replacing the faulty product. CertainTeed's comprehensive warranty covers these costs so there is no out of pocket cost to you--when the system is installed by a CertainTeed-credentialed solar installer.
Have a CertainTeed roof? You could have both your solar and roof covered by one company.
